DEATH OVER TREACHERY

The Ultramarines of the Second Company have been placed on observation by the insidious Inquisition for the past few months. Little did the Ultramarines know, they were being watched and spyed upon every second as they went about their daily lives and battles, killing and cleansing in the Emperor's holy name... but were they all righteous?

Prior to the Xeons cleansing on Hive City Chevron, Company Captain Phrameus saw fit to equip his soldiers with personalised and enhanced weaponry and equipment stolen from the eradicted Tau hideout. Several months had pass, and Captain Phrameus, though advised strongly against by Apothecaries to remain in recovery from his grevious wounds, sallied the Second Company forth to meet another alien threat in the Eastern Fringes. A week before launch, in orbit around Planet Ultramar, the transports of the Second Company were halted by Inquisitor Lord Soran and his requisitioned force of Grey Knights. A tense moment of terse discussion and disagreements flowed among the leaders of both forces, with the Inquisitor questioning the actions of Captain Phrameus. Captain Phrameus, in his anger, ordered the ships to be powered forward, ignoring warnings from the Inquisitor. Forced to resort to action, the mighty guns and canons bristling along the ships of the Grey Knights's and Inquistitor Soran's fired into live, tearing chunks of metal and throwing out clouds of debris into the cold void of space as one by one, the transports of the Second Company fell prey to them.

The ships crashed into the dunes of Ultramar, where only a magnificient ruin dominated the landscape. Cracks ran along the great walls of the ruin, and massive podiums and pillars still stood majestically.

With his forces assembled, Inquisitor Lord Soran began the grim task of elliminating the heretics.

Here we are, in a 12X14m classroom, busy slogging away. Been busy glueing newspaper onto our model, followed by a black (and smelly) coating. We left the parts that were scratched and filed out, in a bid to achieve a damaged and dusted look.

But WAIT! Who goes there?! By the Heaven's, it's the fabled and heraled Ultramarine warriors of Ben! Here you see Brother Captain Phrameus flanked by Brother Terminator Sergeant Lulx.

Covering the rear are the stalwart members of Squad Phrameus.

Fluff note: Squad Phrameus was involved in the cleansing of Tau Xenos in Hive City Chevron on the planet of Valingdom in 987.m41 where Captain Phrameus was hurt in the torso by a Tau conjured psychic attack. Emperor wiling, the Ultramarines were victorius.

Here we go- base coating! Courtesy of Siew Yee Liang, the black spray can he sponsored us was put to good use, leaving the whole building in black, stinking paint!

Apologies to people of 4D who experience nauseous effects.

Stage 2- Coating

Before applying the basecoat of black, we applied glue onto the foam and pasted newspaper onto it. Those are Alvin Tan's hands. In this way, the newspaper gives the foam more texture, which allows spray paint to stick on.

Stage 1- Constructing

Well, we have construced nearly the whole Administration Building, inclusive of a collapsed podium, broken atrium and damaged foyer, with rubble crumbling down. Beams criss cross the roof too, which has been blasted open from mass artillery fire. Several have even broke, crashing onto the shattered ruins below. Walls of the building have been raked with bullets and fire, giving it a rugged and damaged look.

If you look closely, behind the podium, you can see two levels of floors. Though, both ends end in a pile of rubble from continuous ponding of bombs and explosions.

Took us... about 3 hours odd to make it, inclusive of cutting and pasting everything.

It took awhile too to clean up! Haha

Introducing the Brethrens... here's Ben Lim with the black spray can. Looking all psyched up for a wild time of spraying, I must say.

And here's Indra- damn he looks exhilarated! Hmm... wonder why he isn't waving his hands...

Wow, ladies, what do WE have here? Two gentlemen, fellow Brethrens in arms, Alvin Tan on the left, James Lam on the right! Dashing, I must say. Though I wonder how it'll turn out after the dustin' and brushin'! Heheh...

Last but not least, Mr. Azrin Nazir (On the left)! He not only excels in his Chemistry but also in the art of table top warfare. Sheesh, multi-talented dude. What more can an Emperor-willing soldier ask- or even die for?
